Beaches are some of the most popular places to go to for vacation. And, why wouldn't they be? They're beautiful, relaxing and a great place to people watch (if you're into that). They can also be a lot of fun if you like to surf, boogie board, play beach volleyball, fly kites and look for interesting sea critters and shells. But, some beaches are pretty bizarre. Below are 5:

Most islands originate via natural occurrences. Volcanic islands form when an oceanic volcano erupts, spewing molten lava that is hardened by the cool water. Over time, the lava builds up, forming an island. A prime example of a volcanic islands are the Hawaiian Islands. Continental islands form along the continental shelf of a continent. Examples of continental islands are Britain, Ireland and Taiwan. And, some tropical islands formed from coral reefs are Maldives, Tonga and Samoa.

Summer is winding down. The leaves are changing, cool air is filling our evenings, and depending on where you are, the possibility for snow is already here! When you picture national parks throughout Canada and the United States, you probably picture visitors swimming, hiking, and grilling food - all the quintessential summertime activities. But there are numerous job opportunities in our national parks in the winter too!

Our world is full of beautiful, natural wonders. The Grand Canyon, Victoria Falls, The Cliffs of Moher, he Redwood Forest, Aurora Borealis and the Black Forest are just a few of the natural wonders that are on my bucket list. And, while the Redwood Forest and Black Forest are both incredibly beautiful as a whole, there are some individual trees around the world that are worth a mention. Below are 8.

One of the most important aspects of life is home. Home is where the heart is as they say, and the heart goes or stays where it wants to be. The question I raise is what lifestyle is more beneficial; that of the individual who chooses to stay and grow in one place for a very long time, or the individual who chooses to move from place to place in search of something more (or different). Of course, it is not always an individual decision. Where we stay or go depends a lot on our friends, family, and career.
